Official Statement – Well Done Everyone – What an Achievement!
Dear Parents & Students,
As we move towards re-starting our clubs indoors, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their incredible efforts and achievements over the past 6 months.
Although there are too many achievements to mention in this short message, I would like to highlight some of the most impressive examples of what everyone played a part in:
Your club instructors provided thousands of hours of Facetime sessions, Zoom classes, Outdoor classes (in all sorts of weather) and recent Indoor classes for our Taekwon-Do students and Little Tiger Cubs. I can honestly say your instructors have worked harder and for longer hours during lockdown than any of us could have asked or expected. Happy to report it has been well received and appreciated. Well done all!
Master Rooney Taekwon-Do Schools introduced online gradings and would like to congratulate over 300 students who have been promoted to a higher rank.
We provided online assessments for our Little Tiger Cubs to reward them for their incredible effort in their online classes.
We provided over 750 online Pre-Grading Seminars.
We provided hundreds of hours of complimentary exercise classes for our members and their families.
The UKTC ran its first ever open online pattern championship with 231 competitors. Thank you to all instructors and competitors for supporting this. A big thank you goes to Master Leckie for his work on this project.
The World ITF Taekwon-Do Council ran the first ever Open Online World ITF Pattern Championship with over 300 competitors from 26 countries. The UKTC is proud of all our members who participated. A special thank you goes to Mr Alistair Vera for his work on our website and processing all the videos and applications. Another big thank you goes to Mrs Lorraine Ferguson on successfully arranging delivery of medals worldwide.
Due to the interest shown in our online fitness sessions provided, we have created an online Fitness & Healthy Living programme and website which will be available for a Free 1 Week Trial for every UKTC member and their families as from next week (look out for our 360 Lifestyle offer). A special thank you goes to Mr Michael Wiseman and Mr Alistair Vera for their outstanding efforts.
The World ITF Taekwon-Do Council has launched its first ever online Open European ITF Taekwon-Do Pattern Championship which is accepting entries from now until 20th November. Again, great work from Mr Vera. Good luck to all our students who will participate.
These are only some of the group achievements. Within those events are thousands of hours of effort by our students who participated. The greatest appreciation a student can show to their instructor is through their efforts to learn and improve. Thank you to all our students for their efforts and to their families for their support.
